Olivia: My 2nd lutino hen chick born in her clutch of 3 lutino hens. Sold to Haley of Buckeye, Az! |
Hi Rachael,
I just wanted to say your lutino Hen (the second one you sold and the second oldest) is
doing wonderful here! She is so great that I mostly tamed her when I brought her home. She had a small hissy fit right when
she got here, but then she was an angel. After a few days I was able to take her out of the cage with no hesitations
at this moment that i'm writing she's sitting on my shoulder. She also likes sitting on my head :) Well we decided to call
her Olivia (O-live-e-ou) and her male friend is Oliver :) Hope you have fun with your next group of babies! Haley |
Hi Rachael whats up:) havent talked to you forever but I wanted to send you a picture of Olivia but I kept
forgetting to send you one they've been in my camera forever so tomorrow ill give you one. Olivia is doing
fine too she also getting along with Oliver very well. And I also wanted to tell you how glad I am to have Olivia
as a part of the family. Haley

Oaky Boy: My pied male. Sold to Sarah of Az! |
Oak again |

Hey, I just wanted to email you and say thank you and give you a little update
on Oaky. After being here no more than two days he let me take him out of the cage without hissing or
nipping at me. Even when he hissed and nipped the first few days he would still step up. He rarely hisses or nips at me
now. :) Yesterday I decided to try and get him to eat a piece of broccoli. I clipped it to the side
of the cage and he ate the whole thing in less then 5 minutes. Afterwards he had a broccoli mustache. lol Just like you said...he
loves his broccoli!! I have also given him some millet spray but he isn't too crazy about it. I gave it to him the
night I got him and he has only eaten half of it...lol. Its ok though. He loves to chirp,
whistle and sing after I uncover him in the morning and while we are eating supper alot. He also loves to listen to music
and chirp/whistle/sing to that. He is such a character!! He sings alot during the day and at night too putting on his
own little show. But he is a good boy and doesn't make any noise after I cover him at night and not until I uncover him in
the morning. :) A couple times a day he can hear Breezy and Cuddles (my budgies) chirping upstairs
and he will join in. Its so cute! I think he will be disappointed, when they meet in a month, that they aren't his kind. lol
Yesterday I also found a blank tape and recoreded him chirping for atleast 5 mintues. I have played it back to him several
times and he thinks it is another bird and goes crazy, chirping and plastering himself to the side of the cage listening
to it. Thanks so much again for letting me get him! He is the best bird in personality,
character and his silly little antics. Right this second he is sitting on my shoulder grinding his beak. I attached some pictures
so you can visualy see how he is doing. (i also posted one of him chowing down on his first piece of broccoli from his
new mommy and of one of his broccoli mustache...okay, 2 of those, i just couldnt resist. lol) Thanks
sooooo much again,
Sarah and of course Oaky. ;)
Oh, and Breezy and Cuddles. ;)
